The PNASF was nominated by the FAO for organizing the Regional Workshop on “Strengthening Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture towards Resilient Food Systems in Asia” scheduled January 28-30, 2013 in Bangkok. In 2005, PNASF had organized FAO Workshop entitled Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture for Asian Countries during 29th June to 2nd July, 2005.

ISEC/PNASF Seminar on Development Trends in Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture (UPA): On the initiative by the PNASF, the Institute of Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore and P. N. Agriculture Science Foundation, Bangalore jointly organized a Seminar on Development Trends in Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture (UPA) at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru, on August 08, 2013 in order to view and assess the development / progress taking place in agriculture with speedy urbanization process. About 50 invitees were present and 13 invited papers on different aspects of UPA were presented.

UPAFSA-2013 : FAO/PNASF Regional Workshop on Strengthening Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture towards Resilient Food Systems in Asia: FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand in collaboration with Dr. P.N. Agricultural Science Foundation, Bangalore organized the Regional Workshop on Strengthening Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture towards resilient food systems in Asia held during January 28-30, 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand.
